The policies and procedures in place at the Parkmore Medical Centre have been designed to ensure a smooth running practice, which means less inconvenience for you.

We constantly strive to provide you with the best possible care and attention, however sometimes things go wrong. We would appreciate constructive written comments if you are unhappy with any aspect of the service you receive. You may send us a letter or email the Operations Manger at

Appointments are necessary for all except emergency situations. Please make a double appointment for complex matters.  Please notify reception staff if a procedure or specific treatment is required.

When the surgery is closed, please call our Locum Service on (03) 9429 5677. An out of pocket fee may apply.

Home visits can be arranged for emergency cases, if a doctor is available. All home visits incur a fee. If a Doctor is unavailable please call the locum service or go to your nearest hospital emergency department. These are located at Dandenong, the Valley Private and Monash Medical Centre.

To give each patient the best consultation possible, doctors prefer not to be interrupted by phone calls.  Practice staff are happy to take a message, and the doctor will return your call as soon as they are available.  You’re welcome to make a phone consultation (telehealth) if you wish to discuss your health matter.

Pensioners, Disabled and Health Care Card holders and all children under 16 years of age are bulk billed in hours, however there might be a fee after hours with certain doctors.

If you don’t have a concessional card, we require patients to pay for your consultation in full on the day of their visit, the rebate may then be claimed through the Medicare Easy Claim System at this surgery.

All doctors of this practice work independently and are not in partnership, fees may vary between practitioners. These fees will be visible on the new online booking flatform soon.

Otherwise, the list of fees for doctors are available at reception, including any extra items that may be needed at you consultation.

We refer patients when necessary to a wide range of Consultants and Specialists. Our GPs can give you a referral letter to any specialist of your choice during your consultation.

An appointment is required for any prescription required by a patient.

Please phone the surgery Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9.30am – 5.00pm.

Ph 9791 0777.
