Taking care of your mental health is just as important as looking after your physical wellbeing. Whether you are navigating a major life change, dealing with persistent stress, or working toward healthier lifestyle habits, having the right professional support in your corner can make all the difference.
At Parkmore Medical Centre, we are delighted to expand our integrated allied health team by welcoming Yang Yang, a compassionate and experienced male Psychologist. Yang will commence consultations at our Keysborough clinic on Monday, 2 November 2026, and appointments are open now.
Meet Yang Yang: A Warm, Client-Centred Approach to Mental Wellbeing
Finding a psychologist you feel comfortable opening up to is the foundation of effective therapy. Yang brings a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach to every session, supporting individuals across all stages of life.
His primary focus is creating a safe and confidential environment where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered to build practical skills for lasting positive change. Working closely alongside our team of General Practitioners (GPs), Yang provides holistic psychological care tailored to your personal circumstances and health goals.
How Yang Can Support You
Mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all. Yang offers evidence-based psychological therapy across a broad spectrum of emotional, behavioural, and physical health transitions:
Anxiety, Depression & Stress Management: Learn practical, everyday strategies to quiet overwhelming thoughts, lift low mood, prevent workplace burnout, and manage daily life stressors.
Relationship Difficulties & Life Transitions: Build resilience and emotional clarity when navigating significant personal, family, or career shifts.
Menopause & Perimenopause Support: Physical hormonal transitions often bring significant emotional shifts. Yang offers specialised psychological strategies to help manage menopause-related anxiety, mood fluctuations, sleep disturbances, brain fog, and identity transitions.
Weight Loss & Lifestyle Psychology: Sustainable health changes start in the mind. Working alongside your medical care, Yang helps address the psychological barriers to weight management—including emotional eating, habit formation, motivation, and long-term mindset shifts.
Evidence-Based Therapeutic Modalities
Because everyone processes experiences differently, Yang draws from a diverse toolkit of proven psychological therapies to match how you learn and grow best:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT): Identifying and reframing unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns that keep you feeling stuck.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Combining mindfulness strategies with values-based action to build psychological flexibility.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Developing practical skills in distress tolerance, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Schema Therapy: Exploring and healing deeply ingrained life patterns and core emotional needs.
Clinical Hypnotherapy: Using focused attention and deep relaxation to support habit change, stress reduction, and behavioural goals (such as weight management).
Mindfulness-Based Interventions: Cultivating present-moment awareness to calm anxiety and reduce emotional reactivity.
